Man succumbs to his injuries after road accident in Mayapuri
New Delhi: A 40-year-old man, who had met who had met with an accident in Mayapuri area, succumbed to injuries on Sunday while undergoing treatment.
Police said that they have arrested the accused driver in the case. According to police, on October 5, a DTC bus was involved in an accident in Pankha road area near Sagar Pur red light.
Several vehicles out of which one scooty and motorcycle came inside the bus between tyres of that DTC bus. Besides this, the DTC bus also hit two cars. Due to the accident, four persons received injuries. The victim was identified as Ajay Dikshit, Munni Devi, Prasun Rawat and Vinod Kumar.
"Ajay Dikshit and Munni Devi received nominal injuries. But Prasun Rawat received fracture in his leg. The other injured Sumit Kumar (40) was admitted in the hospital with history of injury in his head. Later on he succumbed to his injury and declared dead in the early morning of October 6," said DCP (West) Deepak Purohit.
He further added that the driver of the offending vehicle Anil Kumar has been arrested from the spot.
