Man shot dead in Seelampur

NEW DELHI: A man was allegedly shot dead by an unknown miscreant at his residence located in Seelampur. The deceased person has been identified as Noor Mohammad. According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) North-East Delhi, police have detained a suspect in this case who was allegedly caught stealing a woman's purse during a function at Mohammad's residence, two days ago. He allegedly gave a death threat to Mohammad when he was caught stealing at his residence. Police is also trying to gather more information about the incident and is also verifying if he was murdered for some other motive. All angles are being looked into. CCTV around the area where the incident happened is being scanned for possible leads in the case. The relatives and family members of the deceased are being questioned to get further information about the deceased. His mobile records are also being checked. Further investigation into this matter is underway.

However, an ACP of Delhi police allegedly misbehaved with one of the journalists covering the crime. The matter was resolved by the intervention of DCP North East who promised to look into the matter and assured action.
