Man shot dead after heated argument with friend
Ghaziabad/Noida: A 28-year-old man was killed by his friend after a heated argument broke out between them on the night of Diwali in Kavi Nagar area of Ghaziabad.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Ravi Pal, a resident of Kavi Nagar area.
Victim's family members told police that around 7.30 pm on Diwali when the family was getting ready for Diwali puja, three persons living in the neighbourhood came to their house and called Ravi.
He went outside the house and told that he is coming back within a few minutes but when he didn't return for nearly an hour, the family called him on his phone but it went unanswered.
The family went to search him in the nearby area and they saw the trio of accused beating him mercilessly with sticks and heavy objects. The accused fled away from spot when victim's family members shouted on them. Ravi was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed during treatment.
The family informed about the incident to police and registered a complaint against Sonu and two other persons.
"Following the complaint received, an FIR under section 302 (punishment for murder) against Sonu and two other persons. Police are trying to get details of the criminal history of Sonu. We have formed teams to search him and further investigations are underway," said Atish Kumar Singh, Circle officer 2, Ghaziabad.
Similarly in Gautam Buddh Nagar district, a man shot at by one of his friends in front of two other friends over an argument after getting drunk in sector 54 area of Noida.
Cops said that the victim, identified as Akash, a driver by profession, was shot at his chest by his friend Umesh during a drunken brawl on the night of Diwali. The victim has been referred to higher Center in Delhi where doctors stated his condition to be critical.
