Man murders elder brother in fit of rage in Gurugram

Gurugram: Differences between two brothers on Sunday took a violent turn after the younger brother in a fit of rage brutally murdered his elder brother.

Cops said it was a trivial issue of supply of water that resulted in a heated argument between the two brothers, which eventually turned into violence that ultimately resulted in the brutal death of the elder brother.

According to police officials, such was the anger between the two brothers that they used bricks to hit each other.

In a show of strength, Balwant Singh, the younger brother, slit the throat of his elder brother Jai Singh that led to his death due to excessive loss of blood.

The Gurugram police has registered a case under the relevant sections and arrested the accused.

The two brothers who belonged to Deoria in Uttar Pradesh had come to Gurugram for better employment opportunities and were working in a technology company. "As of now, it will be too premature for us to say what prompted Balwant to take such an extreme step. During the course of questioning, we will inquire whether he was also suffering from some mental illness," said a senior official from the Gurugram police. In the past, there have been various incidents where blood relations have either killed each other due to family differences or suspicion.
