Man murdered his friend

New Delhi: A 22-year-old man murdered his friend on the suspicion of having affair with his girlfriend in Rohini's Kirari Suleman Nagar. Police have arrested the accused and one of his friends who helped him in destruction of evidence.After murder accused went off to Jammu and later arrested from sector 21 Rohini. Both the accused in the case have criminal background .

Police identified the accused as Monu and his friend Chandan. On September 29, one Giri Raj reported that he along with his son Raj Kumar were on a stroll in the street near their house after dinner alongwith two of his son's friends when they were joined by Monu . "Accused took Raj Kumar to one side on the pretext of talking to him alone when all of a sudden, a heated argument erupted between them resulting in fisticuffs. During the scuffle Monu took out a dagger and stabbed Raj Kumar thrice," DCP (Rohini) SD Mishra said.

Investigation revealed that Monu was being accompanied by his close friend Chandan. Investigations lead the police to the house of Chandan's sister at Seelampur. Chandan's sister revealed that both Chandan and Monu had visited her house and borrowed Rs 2000 as they wanted to visit Jammu. A few days later, Monu Chandan were arrested from a park near sec-21 Rohini. DCP added that Monu revealed that while supplying mehndi cones, he came in contact with a woman artist and he fell in love with her. He also introduced Raj Kumar to his girlfriend & soon they also became good friends. After their friendship, the woman started avoiding Monu on one pretext or another which didn't go down well with him. DCP further added that the accused had warned Raj Kumar to mend his ways but the victim Rajkumar paid no heed to his warnings. Seeking revenge, accused Monu decided to eliminate Raj Kumar. After the murder the accused met Chandan and told him that he had killed Raj Kumar. Chandan helped him changing his clothes.
