Man kills daughter who met boy against his wishes, held

NEW DELHI: A 13-year-old girl was stabbed to death by her father, after she reportedly kept on meeting with the boy despite her father's protests.

On Friday, the father had taken the girl to Tronica City in Ghaziabad and stabbed her to death.

He then went to Karawal Nagar police station and lodged a missing complaint.

"We registered an FIR of kidnapping and formed teams to look for the girl. Our inquiry led us to scan CCTV footage, which showed the girl sitting pillion on a motorcycle and going towards Loni," said DCP (North East) AK Singla on Saturday.

Later, cops found her body in Tronica City.

"Since the father had a similar motorcycle and helmet, he was questioned. He then confessed to killing his daughter, as she refused to stop meeting the boy her father had asked to. We have arrested him," Singla said.
