Man kills boy after finding him with his cousin sister
New Delhi: In a honour killing case, a 25-year-old man was arrested for killing a person whom he had seen with his cousin sister in Bawana area. Police claimed that two more persons name has cropped up in the case who are absconding after the murder took place in Sonipat where the accused persons mercilessly beat up the victim before strangulating him. Meanwhile, they burned his car at an isolated spot and threw his dead body in the Sonipat Canal to destroy evidence.
Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ajit Kumar Singla stated that on October 23, one Joginder reported at Bawana police station that his nephew Sahil had been missing for some time. He had left his home in a Santro car at about 8 pm and was not seen thereafter. He suspected that the family of a girl living nearby was behind the kidnapping of his nephew. A team led by Inspector Mukesh Antil of SOS-I, Crime Branch arrested the accused from Bawana area on Friday morning.
According to police, Rakesh admitted to his involvement in the ghastly crime. He led the police team to the spot where he and his associates had thrown Sahil's dead body into the Sonipat canal after killing him.
Singla further claimed that during the intervening night of October 23/24 at about 3 am, the deceased had taken the Santro car to drop the accused's sister near her home in Bawana. As it was already getting late, the girl's cousin brother Rakesh and his friends were frantically looking for her. Rakesh saw Sahil dropping Neha. He and his brother Manish intercepted Sahil and took him to their house. They beat him up mercilessly. Rakesh and Manish then took Sahil to Silana, Sonipat to their friend, Nitesh's house. Rakesh also called his cousin, Lokesh to Silana. Once, they reached Silana, Rakesh, his brother Manish, his cousin Lokesh and friend Nitesh beat up Sahil again. They threw his dead body in the canal and burned his Santro car while returning to Delhi.
Accused used several tactics to evade police
New Delhi: The investigators probing the case of honour killing revealed that the accused had used every tactic to make sure that he is not caught by the investigators. Police claimed that the accused had also shot a video of the incident to save themselves but soon after completing the video, they killed the victim in rage.
Investigators said that when they saw Rakesh's sister with the victim they took both of them to the house after handing the girl to the family member. They started thrashing the boy and then took him to Sonipat.
"A video was shot in which the accused made victim confess that he was not beaten up by them and some unidentified assailants were responsible for his condition but soon after shooting the video, the accused with other associates started thrashing again and later killed him," added the investigator.
Police claimed that the accused tried to be normal and returned home to take some money. The police are also probing the testimony of the accused who had earlier threatened the victim to stay away.
