Man killed for passing lewd comment on girl

NEW DELHI: Passing lewd comments on a girl proved fatal for a man in Neb Sarai when another man stabbed him to death on Sunday. Sunil was rushed to a hospital with stab wounds but was declared brought dead. Police said that Vishal murdered Sunil after a scuffle broke out between them. Vishal along with his associate Rahul used a knife to mince meat. Sunil was injured and bled profusely. He died in the hospital at around 2 am in the night.

Though no previous involvement of both the accused had been found but the police said that the lewd comments on the girl irked Vishal and he fetched a butchers knife and attacked Sunil. "During investigation it was revealed that the deceased had scuffle with Vishal (nephew of deceased) and his friend. The reason of scuffle was sudden provocation after Sunil commented on (the girl who was getting engaged) to which Vishal objected and then fight broke between them. Weapon used in crime was knife being used to mince meat. We have arrested both the accused in the case," said Romil Baaniya, DCP South.

Earlier cops registered a case of attempt to murder which was later changed to murder after the victim succumbed to his injuries. Police said that both the victims and the deceased are from the same community. Earlier, on Sunday, the cops received a call in JJ Camp Tigri in Neb Sarai that a man has been stabbed. The cops team reached the spot and injured was shifted to Batra Hospital where injured Sunil, was found admitted after being stabbed.
