Man held for triying to travel abroad with fake document

New Delhi: In the latest catch by city, a person was nabbed at IGI airport who travelled to a different country without proper documents.

According to police, in the intervening night of 17 and 18 April, the complainant in the case was an immigration officer in the arrival wing, one Indian passenger namely Vikas holding passport issued from Jammu arrived from Australia via Thailand as deportee.

During granting of arrival immigration clearance on passport and last departure was checked to ascertain his credentials. During departure checked no departure record was found in the immigration system. "A report was also sought from Central Foreigner Bureau regarding his last departure which revealed NIL record against his name," said police.
