Man commits suicide at Metro station

NEW DELHI: A 56-year-old man on Thursday allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a Delhi metro train.
The incident took place around 3:30 pm at the Janakpuri West station when a man, identified as D Chawala, jumped before the train, a senior metro security official said.
Chawla, a resident of Vikaspuri, was killed on the spot, he said. A suicide note was found from the victim's pocket where he has revealed that he is ending his life due to depression.
Cops suspect that the deceased took the extreme step due to personal problems and are questioning family and friends to get more information.
In another incident, a man jumped from the elevated platform area of the Jhandewalan station around 9:00 am, the official said.
The 35-year-old unidentified man has been admitted to a hospital, he said, adding that the police are probing the case.
