Man behind e-malkhanas is Hareshwar Swami

New Delhi: Clad in a white shirt and a black trouser, the man went unnoticed till the Joint Commissioner of Police Southern range Devesh Srivastava pointed out from the stage that the hard work and sustained efforts of IPS officer Hareshwar Swami, formerly posted as additional DCP South east has resulted in digitisation and modernisation of malkhanas which have become the first e-malkhanas in South East district.

Hareshwar Vishwanathappa Swamy, 2013 batch IPS officer is the brain behind the taking small malkhanas from dark dingy rooms to a high tech digitised road. Hareshwar is presently serving as Superintendent of Police, Diu. When Millennium Post talked to soft spoken Hareshwar he said that this change has not come up within a day of two rather it took consistent efforts to accomplish the task and take the clumsy looking malkhanas a digital way. "I talked to the Malkhanas staff at length to know their problems and challenges when I was SHO in Keshavpuram in 2015. Then I formulated the software accordingly, when the software was robust enough, later I implemented it at GTB enclave and Seemapuri as ACP and after initial success, we implemented it in entire South East District starting from this February, it was an interesting challenge," Hareshwar said.
