Man beaten to death over trivial argument in Nangloi
New Delhi: A scuffle over a trivial issue led to the murder of a man in outer Delhi's Nangloi area, with Delhi Police on Sunday saying that the arrested accused killed the victim for brushing past his shoulder.
Cops said the deceased was identified as Jitu, who lived with his family in the same area.
The incident was reported around 3.30 pm on Sunday, with reports stating Jitu had brushed the accused Deepak's shoulder with his own, which resulted in Deepak picking an argument with him.
This soon turned into a full-blown scuffle where Jitu sustained serious injuries, after which a PCR call was made.
Jitu was soon taken to a hospital, where he succumbed. "No external injuries were found on the deceased man's body. The accused Deepak, alias Bolt, was arrested later," said a police officer.
In a different incident, a man sustained injuries after being fired at by unidentified armed assailants in Alipur area on Sunday. Cops said the victim has been identified as Santosh, a street vendor.
The incident was reported on Sunday morning when cops were by a caller about a scuffle in Alipur area of north west Delhi.
A police team soon reached the spot and, in the course of the investigation, found Santosh received a bullet wound in the leg.
