Man arrested for brutal murder in Gokalpuri

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police arrested a proclaimed offender Akash for a murder in Gokalpuri in North East district. On 7 April 2016, a man and an auto driver were passing through Wazirabad Road near Gokulpuri Flyover, they saw two persons Jagdish and his son Akash were beating one Punit with broken bottle and bricks. Soon, a PCR van reached the spot and injured Punit was taken to GTB hospital where he succumbed to multiple injuries. On the statement of the eyewitnesses, a case under sections 302/34IPC at Gokulpuri was registered. Accused Jagdish was arrested but his son Akash absconded. Despite all efforts, he could not be arrested as he left Delhi and started residing at some unknown place.
