Make sure no mishap takes place at swimming pools: LG to DDA

Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal on Wednesday directed the Delhi Development Authority to ensure all necessary safety precautions are taken at its swimming pools and no mishap takes place.
Baijal also directed that water quality in the swimming pools be maintained and adequate number of lifesaving personnel be deployed at the swimming facilities. The directions were issued at a meeting chaired by Baijal to review the working and status of projects of the Sports Wing of the DDA.
Baijal also asked the DDA to give top priority to the safety at its sports complexes too.
In the meeting, Baijal, who is also the Chairman of DDA, was apprised that construction of new sports complexes at Dwarka, Narela and Rohini will commence by April, July and September, 2017, respectively.
