Lineman electrocuted to death
Noida: A 35-year-old lineman employed with the electricity department has died on Monday after he suffered a major electric shock on Sunday morning while working on a high voltage line in Salarpur area of Banghel village in Noida. According to police, the deceased identified as Shiv Kumar was working to fix a connection on a high voltage line on Sunday morning.
"Kumar was working on the high voltage line for which the electricity department has shut the power. However, at around 11:30 am, the power got restored and Kumar received a shock. A PCR call was received and he was taken to hospital where doctors stated his condition as critical. However, he died on Monday receiving treatment," said Uday Pratap Singh, SHO, phase-II police station, Noida.
