Delhi Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal on Wednesday chaired the sixth theme-based on meeting of Delhi Development Authority to review the status of biodiversity and other DDA parks in the city.
The LG praised the condition of the Biodiversity Parks, an essential component for nature reserves and for preserving the diminishing flora and fauna of the national Capital.
A presentation was made before the LG regarding the status and progress of biodiversity parks and other DDA Parks.
Baijal desired that the local community, including RWAs, should be involved in their maintenance and management, and the DDA should explore such management structures towards associating the local inhabitants as community ownership is essential for their better upkeep.
