Labour contractor accuses Gzb police constable of cheating him

Ghaziabad: A labour contractor has alleged that a UP police constable, posted in Indirapuram police station of Ghaziabad, have cheated him for over Rs 2 lakhs against the construction work done at constable's cafe and club at Angel mall in Indirapuram area of Ghaziabad.

Waseem Alam, a native of Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh, in his complaint told police that he had done interior designing work at police constable Sindhul Chaudhary's cafe named Chapter 12 and club- the bang bang club, situated at Angel mall in Ghaziabad.

"Around 7-8 labourers including me were hired to complete the work which was taken by me on contract basis from Chaudhary. The work got finished around three months ago and we were promised that the dues will be cleared within a few days. Upon asking for the due amount, which is around 2 lakhs 15 thousand, Chaudhary threatened me with death consequences and also thrashed me a couple of times," said Alam.

The complainant further alleged that the constable also tried an impression of his post over him and warned to eliminate him in a police encounter.

"When I lost all hopes of getting my money, I complained the matter to Chaudhary's mother which annoyed him. He threatened to kill me in a police encounter citing that he had made several women widow by killing their husbands. I got so frightened that I stopped calling him and reported the matter to police," added Alam.

Alam also told Millennium Post that the cafe is situated outside the Angel mall while the club is situated at the second floor of the mall and all the illegal activities such as hukkah, hard drinks and dance are there at a large scale in night hours.

Meanwhile police officials said that they have lodged an FIR into the case.
