L-G inaugurates two parks in Outer Delhi
NEW DELHI: Delhi lieutenant-government Anil Baijal on Saturday stated that a number of green parks with open gyms and fabric swings are being developed and dedicated to the villagers in Delhi.
While inaugurating two parks developed over Gram Sabha Land at Bakkargarh and Ujwa villages under SDMC's Najafgarh Zone, he further stated that the green areas being commissioned in the form of the parks will provide healthy lungs to the suffocating Delhi. Baijal underlined the need of proper maintenance of the new parks and exhorted the residents to render their constructive help in this regard.
Baijal, while appreciating the role of SDMC in developing a number of major parks, stated that other local bodies should come forward to replicate this endeavour. Local MP, Pravesh Sahib Singh Verma, while addressing the gatherings at the two villages, said SDMC has been providing city like amenities also in the villages.
Later, he opened two small sized parks at Kazipur and Samaspur. He also stated the Union Government led by the PM, Narender Modi has been focussing on the overall development of the villages and the farmers. The CommissionerSDMC, Dr. Puneet Kumar Goel stated the development of parks in the villages is being done as per guidance of LG.
