Kidnapped Delhi boy rescued from Ghaziabad
NEW DELHI: Ghaziabad police has rescued a 12-year-old boy who was kidnapped from Mayur Vihar in Delhi. The boy was rescued from Khoda colony. He was kidnapped on September 7 by unidentified kidnappers.
"The kidnapping has been solved by our team in less than 12 hours. The kidnappers demanded a ransom of 2 crore from the family of the victim boy. All 5 accused have been arrested in the case," said SSP Ghaziabad, Vaibhav Krishna.
Police said that the two accused among the five arrested have worked with the father of the victim on his grocery shop. The two then hatched a plan of kidnapping along with their associates.
The boy, a student of class 7th, was kidnapped when he was returning from the school on September 7. The accused Raja gaud and Akash Chowdhary along with their three associates kidnapped the child and took him to Khoda colony of Ghaziabad. Later, the accused demanded a ransom of 2 crores from the family.
A case was registered and search for the accused was launched. On the basis of technical surveillance, the Ghaziabad police got a tip-off about the whereabouts of the kidnappers. The police then laid a trap and monitored the movements of the kidnappers. After careful analysis of the raid, the Ghaziabad police raided the complex and rescued the child safely.
