Key man behind illegal liquor factory in Gzb arrested

Noida: Noida police has arrested a wanted criminal who was involved in running an illegal liquor manufacturing unit in Loni area of Ghaziabad. Police said that the arrested accused also worked in association with a 1 Lakh rewarded dreaded criminal who is in jail now.

Cops said that the arrested accused has been identified as Bobby Tomar, native of Baghpat district of Western Uttar Pradesh. He was one of the accused named for running an illegal liquor factory in the Tronica city area of Ghaziabad. Police conducted raid at the factory on September 26 and three persons were arrested.

"During questioning of the arrested persons, Tomar's name figured. He was the master mind of the factory and was on run after the raid," said Pankaj Pant, station house officer, sector 24 police station.

The officer further said that Tomar is related to notorious gangster Amit Bhoora who is currently serving time in Patiala jail.

"Tomar is said to have been handling Bhoora's finances. The two were in correspondence and Tomar was taking care of all his illicit liquor business in the NCR region," said the SHO.

Police officials also said that during questioning, Tomar confessed to his role in running the factory. "He said that he along with two of his accomplices, Vineet and Pawan Tyagi, and the four who had been arrested earlier were running this factory," said Pant.
