Kejriwal's exposure of open loot in MCD has rattled BJP, says AAP

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday took a dig at the Delhi BJP's decision to cut tickets of all sitting Councillors and to launch 272 fresh candidatures in all the 272 municipal wards, owing to anti-incumbency.

A couple days ago, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal released a video in which he highlighted the "open loot" by BJP ruled Municipalities and accused individual BJP Councillors of amassing wealth.

"The BJP is rattled by the message of Arvind Kejriwal to the people of Delhi in which he highlighted the open loot by the BJP-ruled MCD and the amassing of wealth by individual BJP Councillors," said Delhi in-charge of AAP, Ashish Talwar.

Talwar further said: "Time and again, Delhi AAP Convenor Dilip Pandey has exposed the corruption in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, be it Garbage Collection Scam, Pension Scam, Ghost Employees Scam etc. How many cases have been filed on these scams by either Central government controlled ACB or Delhi Police?"

In all elections against the AAP in Delhi so far, the BJP High Command has pinned the responsibility of its loss on one particular leader. In 2013, it was current Union Minister Dr Harshvardhan and in 2014-15 it was current Puducherry governor Kiran Bedi.

MP Manoj Tiwari is now the face of the BJP in Delhi. However, Tiwari has made smart moves so far, as he is looking for 272 new faces in the Municipal polls.
