Judiciary should honour laxman rekha: Rakhi Birla

NEW DELHI: Just the way that the judiciary is independent in its own domain, the Legislature too is independent in its own sphere and each organ should respect this independance, Delhi Assembly Deputy Speaker Rakhi Birla said on Sunday.

Speaking on the subject 'Legislature and Judiciary - Two Important Pillars of Democracy' at the sixth India Region Conference of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association at Patna, she said that she shares the concern expressed by Union Minister of Law Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad regarding encroachment by the judiciary into domains earmarked for other organs.
