Jilted lover attacks girl, her mother
New Delhi: A woman and her 17-year-old daughter were allegedly attacked by a jilted lover after victim's daughter rejected his marriage proposal on Saturday night. The incident was reported around 10 pm in Shahdara's Krishna Nagar area. Police have arrested the accused, identified as 24-year-old Ashu, a resident of Viswash Nagar in Shahdara district.
DCP (Shahdara) Meghna Yadav stated that the victim and her mother were admitted in Hedgewar hospital after a physical assault made by their known acquaintance Ashu. As per their MLCs prepared, their injuries are due to the sharp object. Both are discharged from the hospital after treatment.
The boy was insisting for marriage but the girl and her mother were reluctant as the boy is not employed. Father of the girl sells vegetables in Krishna Nagar area. The accused attacked both of the victims with a sharp object and fled from the spot. The victim girl has received multiple injuries, meanwhile, her mother has received injury on her neck. The passerby admitted them to the hospital.
In another case, police registered an FIR regarding an injured tongue in Outer Delhi area. A PCR call regarding the quarrel was received at Ranhola police station and MLC received from Safdarjung hospital regarding the injured tongue. The victim Karan, a 30-year-old street artist, alleged that his pregnant wife had an altercation with him. Later, they patched up and she started kissing him. While kissing, his wife bitten his tongue off.
