In 2 separate incidents, minors raped by neighbours

In two separate incidents recorded in the Captial, two minor girls were raped.

But, the common factor in both incidents apart from the nature of the crime is that in both cases neighbours of the victims were involved.

The first incident was reported from Outer Delhi's Nangloi area on Tuesday night where the neighbour took the girl to his house and then raped her.

In the second such incident, an 11-year-old from Mayapuri was raped by her neighbour who took her to his friend's house in Hari Nagar. Both the accused have been arrested by Delhi police.

Following the complaint of the 11-year-old girl, a case was registered under POCSO Act who told the cops that she was raped by one of her neighbour.

The girl also stated that she was going to her school near Hari Nagar Ghanta Ghar when she was offered lift by the neighbour on a bike.

The unsuspecting girl was later taken by the accused Naushad to her friend's house in Jhuggis in Hari Nagar.

She alleges the man of raping her in the room.

Following this, the 20-year-old man dropped the girl to school and also threatened her not to reveal anything to family or report the matter to the police.

"The medical examination has confirmed the rape and we have arrested the accused Naushad, who has confessed to his crime," said a top cop.

In the second case, a girl was raped by her neighbour when she returned early from a Jagran in Outer Delhi's Nangloi. The girl found her house to be locked and decided to wait for her parents.

During this time, she was then lured by one of her neighbours who took the 16-year-old to the rooftop and sexually exploited her.

After her parents came back, she told them the incident after which the cops were informed.
