Illegal hookah in restaurant: 4 beat constables suspended

New Delhi: Delhi Police took action against their four beat officers by suspending them, in West Delhi area. The hookah was found inside the restaurant which falls under the turf of these four cops and the restaurant was not having any license.

"We took departmental action against their negligence," the police said.

The action came a day after when SHO New Friends Colony Inspector Sushil Kumar and Division Officer Sub Inspector Rajender were placed under suspension for misconduct and negligence on duty in the context of murder of Rupesh, a resident of Taimur Nagar on August 30 and the resultant L&O problem, the then SHO New Friends Colony Inspector Sushil Kumar and Division Officer SI Rajender are placed under suspension for misconduct and negligence in duty.

Meanwhile, Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik, in a meeting directed senior officers including SHOs to maintain proper security and patrolling in their areas. "The SHOs were told to stay away from the corrupt practices," added the source.
