IIC, IHC and Golf Club to shutdown as well
New Delhi: After some of Delhi's most exclusive clubs went into complete shutdown in light of government directives issued with respect to stopping the spread of the novel Coronavirus in the Capital, India International Centre, India Habitat Centre and the Delhi Golf Club have now said that they will be shutting down most, if not all, of their services till March 31 — in compliance with the Delhi government's order. The IIC told this newspaper that all of its services will be shut down till March 31, including restaurants, event venues and eateries. One official said that the guesthouse service will also be shutdown as they have stopped taking additional bookings and have also asked residing guests to vacate if possible. Furthermore, the India Habitat Centre has said that it will close all of its services except the guesthouse and the kitchen. However, one official said that only room service is available for guests and all spaces where public gatherings are likely to take place have been closed down. He said that restaurants, the pool and gyms have been closed for the time being. On the other hand, the Delhi Golf Club on Friday said that it will be shutting down all of the club except for the golf course which remains open. On official said that despite the course being open, not much attendance is being seen in light of the Coronavirus crisis. On Thursday, the Press Club of India, Foreign Correspondents' Club and the Delhi Gymkhana Club said that they will also be in complete shut-down till March 31.
