Husband arrested for killing wife
NEW DELHI: A police team of South West Delhi's Sagarpur has arrested an accused Rajesh Sharma, a resident of West Sagarpur, for murdering his wife Poonam Sharma, 40.
Three knives, the weapon used in the commission of the crime, were also recovered. "During interrogation, accused Rajesh Sharma disclosed that on 10 September at about 07:30 pm he came to home and some quarrel occurred with his son Siddhanth. His wife Poonam Sharma came in defence of his son. He got into anger and with the help of the knife he murdered his wife," said DCP South West Devender Arya.
Later, the son called the police and informed them that his father has killed his mother. When the police personnel reached the spot, they found Poonam Sharma lying unconscious in a pool of blood with stab injuries. The injured was shifted to DDU Hospital where she was declared brought dead by doctors.
Soon the police made several teams to arrest the accused and succeeded in arresting Rajesh Sharma from the jungle area near Kallar Shiv Puri, Sagarpur.
The accused married
Poonam Sharma in the
December 2000 and is having three children.
