HRERA to launch official website soon

Gurugram: The Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (HRERA) is just a few weeks away from launching its official website, wherein all concerned real estated projects will be listed and available for display to the public.
According to officials of the Authority, the website will become operational within a month and a half.
A few months after its implementation, the Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Act recently started functioning officially in full effect.
Affected by the downturn in real estate business in the city, the challenge for long has not only been to have occupancy in over 50,000 residential units, but also to provide possession to thousands of homebuyers.
Some of these homebuyers have been waiting for more than ten years to take possession of their residential units.
In order to solve the major housing challenges for the allotees, the Haryana government is hopeful that HRERA will prove to be an effective platform for consumer grievance redressal.
In Gurugram, over 800 ongoing projects and 300 new projects will come under the ambit of HRERA.
The Authority is headed by former bureaucrat KK Khandelwal.
A key aspect that can make the real estate watchdog effective is transparency, as all real estate developers will have to provide the status of their projects at the Authority's website.
Further, the government agency has to solve the grievance of the consumer within 60 days of receiving the complaint.
