How to be safe from White Collar Crime, experts teach in Delhi Police Programme

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police organised an interactive session "Cyber Aware", on Cyber Safety at Multi-Purpose Hall, University Ground, Delhi University,on Tuesday. Amulya Patnaik, Commissioner of Police, Delhi, was the Chief Guest. Around 3000 students from Delhi University and various schools of North Delhi attended the session. The programme was aimed to create awareness and familiarise the students, being potential victims due to their inquisitiveness, curiosity and inadequate awareness, about online threats and danger lurking in Cyber space, besides precautions to be taken to make the user less vulnerable. Cyber Expert Pawan Duggal, Rahul Tyagi, Jiten Jain and Dr. Anyesh Roy, DCP Cyber Cell, who are expert in cyber crime and laws discussed on Cyber crimes and provided tips to keep vulnerabilities at bay. Pawan Duggal, renowned lawyer on Cyber Laws, provided valuable information on identity theft and pitfalls of using WhatsApp and SnapChat indiscriminately, without understanding legal ramifications or consequences.
