How an interview call turned into brutal gangrape, murder
Conspiracy hatched to implicate a man in murder case and grab his land
New Delhi: When Maya (Name changed) received an interview call on her mobile, she thought if she qualifies she would be back to her home with sweets. What she did not know was, she would be gangraped by unknown men and strangulated within hours of reaching the interview spot in Delhi. The dead body was dumped near Sarita Vihar railway tracks in a sack in the night hours which was discovered on February 27.
The irony is the girl from Ambedkar Nagar became the subject of a heinous murder plot hatched by a criminal while he was in Tihar jail. The accused Dinesh was booked for snatching in nine cases and during his stay in Tihar jail he met another criminal Dhirender. When the accused persons were in jail, Dhirender got enmity with another under-trial prisoner Bunty.
After being released, Dhirender with Dinesh hatched a conspiracy to teach Bunty a lesson and they also wanted to grab a piece of land nearly 1800 square feet of Bunty. The idea was to implicate Bunty's brother Aarush into murder so that no one objects when they grab the land.
Accused Dinesh roped his friend Saurabh in their plan and purchased a new mobile phone and a SIM.
On February 25, Dinesh called Maya (name changed), who was already known to Dinesh through a common friend and on the pretext of providing a job, called her at his flat. When Maya reached the flat, she was overpowered by Dinesh, Dhirender and Saurabh. Accused persons confined the victim and brutally gang-raped her.
Later on the pretext of releasing her, the accused persons forcefully compelled the victim to write a letter and falsely implanted name of Aarush, a resident of Burari and 2 other boys of Sangam Vihar, to mislead the police. After she wrote a letter, she was kept overnight and raped again. Later the three men strangulated Maya in the morning.
The accused persons also made calls from the mobile of the victim to the numbers of all the three alleged persons, to falsely frame them in the case.
"Her body was wrapped in plastic and gunny bag. Thereafter, accused persons hired a Honda City self driven car for Rs 7,800. Further, they also hired two more persons Rahim and Chanderkesh both for dumping the body, All four have been arrested while Dhirender is at large," said DCP South East, Chinmoy Biswal.
