High-speed car hits divider, One dead, 3 injured
NEW DELHI: One person has died and three others were seriously injured when their car hit a divider early morning on Monday near Akshardham flyover. Police said that the car they were travelling at a high speed and lost control, hitting the divider.
The injured were rushed to the hospital but 52-year-old Mohammad Shamin died of his injuries. He resided in Qureshi Nagar of Sadar Bazar. The other three who were grievously injured are Mohammad Arish, Sadakin and Mohammad Shabuddin. All are residents of Sadar Bazaar in New Delhi.
Police said that the car seems to be at high speed before the driver lost control and hit the divider. The impact of the accident was so strong that the occupants were grievously injured. Later, they were rushed to Max hospital and Lal Bahadur Shastri in serious condition.
"All the men work in Ghazipur meat mandi. On investigation it was found that the car was in high speed, one man succumbed to his injuries" said a senior police officer. Injured Sadakin was later shifted to RML from Lal Bahadur Shastri.
