Gzb police arrest five wanted criminals
Ghaziabad: The Ghaziabad police have arrested five criminals, including two sharp shooters of Sunder Bhati gang who carried reward of Rs 1 lakh and Rs 50, 000 on their arrest.
Police said that the criminals were wanted in many heinous criminal activities including the murder case of BJP leader Shiv Kumar Yadav.
"Following a tip-off, the arrest was made from Raj Nagar Extension area of Ghaziabad on Saturday night by a team of crime branch. The two rewarded criminals were identified as Amar Fauzi alias Moonch of Sundar Bhati gang, who carried a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head and DK alias Dharmendra who carried a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head," Additional Director General of Police (Meerut Zone) Prashant Kumar told reporters.
The other arrested accused were identified as Arpit Tyagi, Kuldeep and Anuj. Police said that the gang were planning to eliminate their enemies in Bulandshahr and Shamali in Uttar Pradesh.
"The gang members were wanted in a number of heinous crime in various districts of Western Uttar Pradesh. The most dreaded among the five is Amar Fauzi who gunned down BJP leader Shiv Kumar Yadav along with two others in Greater Noida on November 16, 2017. Amar is a B. Tech in civil engineering and used to commit murders in lieu of money. He has a hand in several killings ordered by Bhati," added Kumar.
Police announced a reward of Rs 75,000 to the police team which arrested the men in addition to the reward amount of Rs 1.5 lakh which two of the criminals carried on them.
