Gurugram EOW to probe fake transfer of commercial area
Gurugram: The Gurugram Economic Offences Wing has begun their investigations on the matter of fraudulent transactions of a commercial area in Sector-47 two-years ago. Seven public officials have been booked in the case.
The incident came to light after the complainant Indravati alleged that despite paying the full sum, the officials under favoritism gave the commercial area to someone else.
Moreover it is also been alleged that the public officials did some tampering with the documents so to benefit the other party.
The investigation by the EOW came after the FIR in the case was registered at the city police station.
"We are examining the detail of the case. It has been alleged with the connivance of public officials the commercial area in sector-47 whose valuation is estimated to be worth crores was transferred to someone else. The process of allowing the commercial area was done under E-auction. We are examining all the facts in the case and will soon be able to get a breakthrough," said a senior official from EOW.
This is not for the first time when an allegation of corrupt practices is being leveled on the public officials especially in the process of E-auction. Designed to facilitate accountability and transparency often opaque practices have resulted in corrupt practices.
The multiple plot allotment scheme of HUDA still continues to be investigated.
This case follows after the multiple land allotment scams that resulted in the loss of credibility of HUDA and also impacted the integrity of much public and defense
personnel.
Through the RTI it was revealed that various public officials who were designated to receive one residential plot were given two or more three plots.
The investigations into the case revealed that there were as many 44 HUDA officials who were involved in the connivance and indulging in unethical practices.
