Guard killed woman for refusing sex, arrested
NEW DELHI: The guard accused in the Vivek Vihar D-Block murder of a woman has been apprehended by Delhi Police. According to police, he has confessed to the murder along with another co-accused who is known to him. A raiding team has been sent to apprehend the co-accused.
"Primary investigation suggests that the woman was murdered by the Chaowkidar and his friend. The accused Chowkidar told our team that they murdered the woman for objecting to establishing relations with both of them. This version will be cross-checked with the other co-accused on his apprehension in this case," said Meghna Yadav, DCP Shahdara.
A 42-year-old woman was found murdered near a vacant house in Vivek Vihar area of Shahdara on Saturday. The police received a call at around 9:25 am about a woman's dead body lying at the backside of the house. When police reached the spot, they found no apparent injury visible on the woman who was lying face down and a little blood was coming out of her nose. The caretaker of the house was missing from the scene.
The house is said to be vacant for a long time. The keys of the house were with the caretaker guard. It is still a matter of investigation how the woman came to Vivek Vihar.
The deceased woman was a resident of Ghaziabad, and the missing guard was identified as Sushil, a resident of Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh.
Sources said that the owner of the house stayed abroad and the house keys are left with Sushil, the caretaker. The cops suspected Sushil as he had fled the spot after the woman's dead body was found. Teams have been formed to arrest the co-accused in the case.
