Govt committed to make Delhi corruption-free, says Sisodia

NEW DELHI: In bid to curb corruption, Delhi government on Friday launched the Vigilance Awareness Week, where Deputy CM Manish Sosodia administering the "Integrity Pledge" to the office employees of Delhi government at Delhi Secretariat. Starting from Monday, the Vigilance Awareness Week will end on November 3.

On the occasion, Delhi CS Anshu Prakash, Additional Chief Secretary Manoj Parida, all Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, the head of departments, heads of autonomous bodies and employees of Delhi government took the integrity pledge at Plaza of Secretariat Building. Administering the pledge, to the officers/employees to make Delhi the first corruption free State of India, Sisodia said that Delhi Government is committed to make Delhi Corruption free.

"This government will take strict action against the officers/employees if found guilty and no officer/ official will be spared if the allegations of corruption are substantiated," Sisodia said. "I believe that corruption has been one of the major obstacles to economic, political and social progress of our country. I believe that all stakeholders such as Government, citizens and private sector need to work together to eradicate corruption," stated in the Pledge statement.
