GNIDA to increase land bank to create new economic opportunities
Greater Noida: In order to meet the rising demand of industrial and institutional plots in the city, the Greater Noida authority has decided to increase their land bank to create new economic opportunities.
The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by GNIDA chairman Alok Tandon along with CEO Narendra Bhooshan, ACEO K K Gupta and other senior authority officials.
The chairman said that the authority will boost up their land bank by land acquisition or directly acquiring land from the farmers.
"The decision will not only facilitate Multi national and foreign companies to set up their units in the city but will also create job opportunities," he said.
He further addressed the long prevailing home buyer's issue who have been waiting for the possession of their home from past many years.
The chairman directed GNIDA officials to hold up meetings with the builders to speed up process of issuing completion/occupancy certificates.
"Many builders have applied for CC/OC but their applications have been kept on hold due to necessary requirements not met. We have issued several notices to them in past and now we will hold up meetings with these builders to discuss their issues so that the Completion certificates can be issued and the buyers get possession over their flats," a senior GNIDA officer said.
Apart from these, the chairman also directed the officials to select a transport consultant within next fifteen days to overcome the problem of traffic congestion in the city and come up with a much effective traffic management plan.
Also to give a boost to economic condition of the authority, Tandon directed officials to issue notices to all the allottees who are owes debt of over Rs 1 crores to the authority, initially, which will be extended further to those owning lesser amount of money.
