GNIDA to file review petition in Amrapali case
Greater Noida: The Greater Noida Industrial development authority (GNIDA), on Thursday, decided to file a review petition in honourable Supreme Court's order for the outstanding dues to the Amrapali builder who owes Rs 3,700 crores to the authority against various builder's residential and commercial projects.
The apex court has directed Noida and Greater Noida authorities to execute the tripartite agreement within one month concerning the projects where homebuyers are residing and issue completion certificate.
The court also ordered cancellation of the registration of Amrapali Group under the real estate law RERA, and ousted it from its prime properties in the NCR by nixing the land leases.
"As directed by the honourable Supreme Court we have started providing electricity and water connection to the homebuyers despite there being not completion certificate (CC/OC). As Amrapali builder owes a huge debts to the authority, we have planned to file a review petition as we have no clue how to recover the debts. The builder owns over Rs 3,700 crores as dues to the authority and the money is important as it can be used in various infrastructural and development works in the city," said a senior GNIDA officer.
The decision was taken in GNIDA's 115th board meeting held on Thursday.
Apart from this the board also approved conversion of vacant IT plots in industrial area for industries.
"The board also gave a green signal to transfer IT and ITES plots to industrial plots. Such plots are given an extension of transfer of one year which is six months at present. A processing fees of Rs 5,000 will be taken up against the transfer process," the officer added.
Several other major decisions relating to commercial plot scheme, e-auction of commercial plots and shops in the city were taken. The meeting was chaired by Anup Chandra Pandey, GNIDA Chairman and Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Government, Narendra Bhooshan CEO GNIDA, Ritu Maheshwari CEO Noida Authority, BN Singh DM Gautam Buddh Nagar and other senior GNIDA officials.
