GNIDA begins collective plan to minimise dust
Greater Noida: The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA), on Thursday, initiated a collective plan to minimise dust coming from rapid construction works, worsening air quality in the region. While the Noida Authority on Wednesday has directed all builders to hang screen made of cloth at all under-construction buildings to restrict dust particle, the Greater Noida Authority too issued the similar direction.
After a review meeting in subject to combat air pollution in the city, chief executive officer (CEO) of Greater Noida Authority, Narendra Bhushan informed that the officials from planing, health project, horticulture and urban service departments have been directed to be ready to combat against rising air pollution and insure the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) are implemented at appropriate time. "Officials have been directed to make sure that no garbage burning takes place in the region and all construction work related process such as construction material, transport and under construction buildings must be well covered," Bhushan said.
