Girls score better than boys, Kerala girl tops

NEW DELHI: Girls, with a pass percentage of 88.67, did better than the boys, who registered a pass percentage of 85.32, in the 2018 CBSE Class 10 result, which was released on Tuesday afternoon.
This year, Sreelakshmi G from Cochin became the CBSE Class 10 topper with 99.8 per cent marks. Sreelakshmi is from Bhavan's Varuna Vidyalaya, Ernakulam district.
"One needs to study from Day 1. Never rely on tomorrow and study every day. This was my main moto and this is how I motivated myself throughout the year. My school teachers were very helpful as they taught me everything with patience. I gave regular mock tests during the last days of my board exams," the topper said.
CBSE said that out of 16,24,682 students who appeared for the exams, 3,760 were differently-abled. Out of that, 3,480 were successful in their exams. Out of that, 21 candidates bagged 95 per cent or more and 135 candidates achieved 90 per cent or more.
Region-wise, Thiruvananthapuram ranked first with 99.60 pass percentage. Chennai and Ajmer stood at 2nd and 3rd with 97.37 and 91.86 pass percentage respectively. A total of four students topped the CBSE Class 10 Board Exams this year with a score of 499 out of 500. The toppers include Prakhar Mittal, Rimzhim Agarwal, Nandini Garg and Sreelakshmi G.
To make matters easier, CBSE Class 10 students can get their mark sheets through DigiLocker that is registered with the Government of India. Students would get their account details on the mobile number that was registered with the board for CBSE Class 10 results 2018. Students can access the locker on digilocker.gov.in.
The locker is also accessible on Android and iOS. Students who have appeared for the CBSE Class 10 exams can now check their results on the official websites cbseresults.nic.in, cbse.nic.in or results.nic.in.
Additionally, CBSE Class 10 students can also access the results via apps and SMS and can view their results on UMANG mobile app, available on Android, Ios and Windows phone. CBSE Class 10 results will also be available on search engine www.bing.com as well as on Google. Not only that, results can also be accessed on Microsoft SMS Organizer app and through IVRS or Interactive Voice Response System on 24300699 for Delhi subscribers and on 011- 24300699 for subscribers from other parts of the country.
