Girls in SDMC schools to get free sanitary napkins

New Delhi: Girls in all SDMC schools to get sanitary napkins for free. The Leader of House in SDMC Shikha Rai said that the step has been initiated to bring awareness on physical cleanliness to the girls studying in all primary schools.

The doctors and other health personnel are being invited to schools to exhort girls to take care during their difficult days. She added that SDMC will provide sanitary napkins for free to the girls during their difficult days.

Rai stated that this will not only help in girls to attend school during those days but will make them confident to remain normal everyday. It has been noticed that the girls generally miss their classes during their difficult days resulting in loss to their learning process. With an assurance to get sanitary napkins in school the girls would not like to miss their classes. She said that besides this, SDMC will provide two – two LED bulbs free for those families who are putting in dwelling units up to an area of 100 sq yard. This will help them in illuminating their dwelling units.
