Girl gangraped, accused absconding

NEW DELHI: A girl was allegedly gang-raped in South East Delhi near Millennium Park on September 15 and was found at the flyover by some passersby and the police was informed. The girl was taken to the hospital by the police team where rape was confirmed. A case in his regard has been filed at Sunlight colony police station.

According to sources, the victim is a vagabond and often begs near Nizamuddin Railway station and when she was near the Millennium Park Sarai Kale Khan bus depot she was allegedly spotted by two boys who lured her for food. The boys then took turns to rape her at a secluded spot nearby in the bushes. The girl then went at the flyover and when the motorists suspected her movements, a call was made to the cops.

Police are also trying to ascertain the mental condition of the girl. Several teams of police have been formed to identify and arrest the accused. Police are also looking for suspects residing near the Sarai Kale Khan bus stand. Teams are also looking for the vagabonds of the area in search of the suspects in the case. CCTV cameras around the area are also being scanned and manual information is being gathered by the police sources.
