Ggn schoolboy murder: CBI to grill Ggn cops

Gurugram: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) may question the Gurugram police officers in the schoolboy murder case, with the premier investigating agency likely to begin grilling policemen in the last week of this month.
Earlier, there were speculations that Gurugram police officers, involved in investigation of the murder case, would be questioned by CBI.
The CBI, in its charge-sheet, had not only given a clean chit to an accused bus conductor, but also stated that he was wrongly framed by police.
The district police has been blamed of extracting confession from the 42-year-old bus conductor, under duress, as mentioned in the charge-sheet that was presented in Gurugram district court last Monday. After being released, on bail the conductor had mentioned that not only was he mercilessly beaten, but was also given electric shocks.
The investigating agency has claimed that the district police did not investigate the case properly and overlooked vital evidences. In what can add to more troubles for Gurugram police, the Director General of Police BS Sandhu affirmed that they were taking cognisance of the charge-sheet.
