GGM: Traffic police enhances visibility with reflective tapes

GURUGRAM: In a continued effort to improve road safety, the Gurugram Traffic Police has initiated the “Road Safety, Life Protection” month for 2025, focusing on raising awareness and reducing traffic accidents, the Gurugram Traffic Police has applied reflective taps to more than

150 vehicles.

Under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Shri Virender Vij and the guidance of Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic-East) Surender Kaur, the department implemented various activities to ensure public safety yesterday.

As part of the initiative, more than 150 vehicles were fitted with reflective tapes to improve their visibility, especially in foggy and low-visibility conditions.

The installation of these tapes was carried out at high-traffic locations such as Hero Honda Chowk, Jay Singh Chowk, Sector 37 T-point, and AIT Chowk.

The reflective tapes aim to make vehicles more visible to other drivers, particularly in adverse weather conditions, reducing the risk of accidents.

Traffic Inspectors Dharamvir Singh, Avtar Singh, Satyavir Singh, Ramkishan, along with other traffic police personnel and RSO Jagdish Baveja, played an essential role in implementing the project.

Gurugram Traffic Police applied reflective tapes and educated drivers on traffic rules, such as maintaining a safe distance, driving at controlled speeds, wearing seat belts, and avoiding distractions.

Emphasising safe driving during the winter fog season, they urged caution, reduced speeds, and no parking on main roads. The police also provided emergency helplines 1095 and 112 for public assistance.
