Gangster who skipped parole in 2010 nabbed in Gurugram

Gurugram: The Gurugram Police Special Task Force (STF) on Wednesday achieved a major success with the arrest for Rajiv alias Bobby, a wanted gangster with a reward for his arrest who had escaped after he was granted parole in 2010.

For a long time, cops were on the lookout for Rajiv, who has multiple cases of murder, kidnappings and extortion charges levelled against him.

Despite being constantly hounded by cops, his criminal activities seemed to not end.

However, on Wednesday morning, he was caught along with his accomplice by the STF team in Rajendra Nagar area of the city, while travelling in a stolen SUV car.

A major case he was involved in was the kidnapping of a businessman from Rohtak, from whom he had extorted a sum of Rs one crore.

Over seventeen such gangsters are under the STF radar, and an effective coordination network has been created with law enforcement officials of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, which has yielded success.

It may be noted that Rajesh Bharti, a gangster shot in an encounter last week, had committed various crimes all over Haryana, before he ventured to the national Capital to expand his criminal network.
