Fruit vendor held for buying, selling stolen phones

New Delhi: A 45-year-old fruit vendor who used to buy stolen phones and later sell to the people was arrested by Central Delhi Police. Law enforcement agency claimed that they have also arrested two persons from whom the vendor used to buy the phones. The accused was identified Samad (19), Mohammad Javed (20) and the fruit vendor Abdul Karim. DCP (Central) Mandeep Singh Randhawa stated that the fruit vendor sold more than 50 mobile phones per day.
Two persons Samad and Javed were arrested near Samta Sathal in, Darya Ganj. They had come there to sell these mobile phones to their receiver Abdul Karim.
"The accused further alleged that at the instance the other accused Karim was nabbed who claimed that his income was not sufficient to meet their requirements. He indulged in crime. He started purchasing stolen mobile phones from the different robbers, snatchers," a police
officer said.
