From dreamers, women have become doers and achievers, says Khattar

Gurugram: Speaking on International Women's Day Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar who was in Gurugram on Sunday stated that how women in his state have progressed from dreamers to doers and ultimately becoming achievers.

The Chief Minister gave the reference of various women who were continuously achieving success in their fields from his state. The List included sportswomen, entrepreneurs, educationists, social workers and village heads.

"She is a dreamer, she is a believer, she is a doer, she is an achiever, and that she is you. The dream of building a united, bright India is not possible without women empowerment. May you always prosper and stand firm in the course of life. I today am what I am because of the sacrifices and love of my mother" said the Haryana CM.

The 65-year-old a leader also asserted that as per the Indian traditions, God used to reside there where women were respected. Being head of the state and speaking in the city that has a dubious record for the safety and security of women, the Chief Minister also entailed the steps that is being taken by his government to improve the situation. He highlighted that in Gurugram only there were 35,000 CCTV cameras that was functioning, dark zones being lighted and public transport the system being improved.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated a mobile unit of computer education classroom. The step is being taken to improve public education especially primary education systems in the city. Being launched in Gurugram, the initiative is expected to cover various cities.

"Team Gurugram Metropolitan City Bus Limited (GMCBL) is committed to taking forward the cause of women. On the occasion of women's day, GMCBL announces reservation of seats for women in each Gurugram city bus service," said Sonal Goyal Additional CEO, Gururgam Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA).
