Delhi Police said on Sunday that the condition of two men was critical and five persons involved in the crime have been identified.
Cops said that the victims were identified as Akash, Praveen, DK and Vikas, all resident of south Delhi area.
The incident came to light on Saturday night, after cops received a PCR call about the brawl.
A police team reached the spot and found four persons having sustained serious injuries, who were immediately rushed to the hospital.
"The fight broke out around 9 pm at a restaurant located at Mehrauli's ward number one in and we received the PCR call at 9.20 pm," a senior police official said, adding that the victims were taken to hospital in an auto-rickshaw.
He added that Akash and Parveen are in a critical condition and admitted in the ICU at AIIMS Trauma Centre.
During investigation, police came to know that at least five persons were involved in the attack on the four victims.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Romil Baaniya said on Sunday that both groups were acquainted with each other.
Talking about the sequence of event, DCP told Millennium Post that on Friday, a fight had broken out over a quarrel between one of the accused and Vikas, in which Vikas's new motorcycle was damaged.
"On Saturday, Vikas and his friends were having snacks inside the restaurant, when the accused entered and began arguing with them, which soon turned into a brawl. The accused attacked them with a blunt object and fled the spot," he said, adding that teams are raiding different areas of Delhi.
When asked about the security situation inside the restaurant, police said that the cafe had previously been challaned under provisions of the Delhi Police Act for operating without a license.
"It is a Billiards cafe where boys come to play," said Baaniya, adding that an FIR has been registered under section 307 of the Indian Penal Code.
