Four booked for harassing two women in separate incidents

Ghaziabad: In two separate cases of crime against woman, four persons have been booked by police for allegedly harassing two different women.

The first incident was reported from Vijay Nagar area of Ghaziabad where a 17-year-old girl lodged sexual harassment complaint against a man who allegedly blackmailed her with her nude pictures and tried to extorted money after blackmailing her.

According to police, the victim, a student of BA first year was allegedly made to consume a drink laced with sedatives while the accused took her nude pictures after she fell unconscious.

As per victim, accused Ashok Kumar Pathak, native of Bharatpur district in Rajasthan and lived at a rented flat in Siddharth Vihar colony in Vijay Nagar, took the girl in a car and made her consume sedative laced drink. The girl further allegedly said that the accused shot her nude pictures when she fell unconscious and started blackmailing her. He further asked her to send more nude pictures through AhatsApp else he will expose her on internet. The accused also started demanding money from the girl on pretext of nude photographs, the girl said in her complaint. The victim narrated the ordeal to her parents and lodged a complaint on March 28, said police.

"Based on complaint received, an FIR under IPC sections 328, 386, 354 and 506 has been filed against the accused. Preliminary enquiry showed that the accused was known to girl, however, we are taking further investigations into the case," said a senior police officer of Vijay Nagar police station, Ghaziabad.

In another incident, a man, living in victim's neighbourhood, allegedly barged into her house and assaulted her sexually when she was alone at home.

As per reports, accused Devendra, native of Lohia Nagar area of Ghaziabad, forcefully entered the house of a married woman who lives in neighbourhood. Two of his accomplices, Himanshu and Chhotu, were keeping a watch on the movement of her family members and were standing outside the house. When victim's husband and her father-in-law came home, the two accused who were standing outside the house tried to stop them from entering the house, however, victim's family members managed to enter the house and found Devendra sexually assaulting the woman. They even tried to get hold on the accused but they managed to flee the spot.

Cops said that they have registered a case while they are yet to make any arrest in the matter.
