Four arrested for assault on teachers in Rohini school

New Delhi: Delhi Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested four persons and apprehended one juvenile for allegedly thrashing teachers of a school in Rohini district. The victims in the incident include female staff members of the school, police added.

Sources said the accused persons were identified as Raj Kumar, Sandeep, Tushar, Phool Chand and a juvenile.

All the accused persons are residents of Narela in Rohini district, police further said.

The incident was reported on Thursday in a school in Narela, wherein the accused forced their way into the school and misbehaved with teachers as well as female staff.

"All these accused entered the school and started damaging things, during which the staff were injured," said police.

They added that family members of a Class VIII girl studying in the school had gone missing from the school premises. "The girl's family members came in a group and beat up the teachers," police said.

A PCR call was made and a police team reached the spot.

After an investigation, the five persons were apprehended.

Meanwhile, in a different case, two persons were shot at in the same Narela area.

The incident was reported on Thursday night and police are investigating the case.
