Forest dept issues notice to police over setting up of police lines
Gurugram: After the Supreme Court order on Kant Enclave, various green activists are also demanding strict action on the construction that is being carried out in Gururam.
Now, the Forest department has served notice to the Gurugram police for the police lines that have to come up at the Aravallis.
In a damming report that has been obtained through RTI, there have been allegations that more than 20,000 trees spread over 57 acres of land in Aravallis have been cut for setting up for police lines in Manesar.
The project was started eight years ago in 2010. After the report has been made public there have been a probe launched by the government agencies to enquire whether rules flouted to build the project
This for the first time when the green lungs of Millennium city have faced the axe in the name of development.
